While browsing thru my 55-65 Dodge Chilton Manual found that they list a BBD option for Valiant,Lancer and Dart for 1962 & 63,64,65 these years only on the 225..Now wheres the manifold? could it be option that was never put in production or just a typo. |

The Marine slant six was a 2 barrel motor back then. I've heard the marine 2 barrel was used on export cars?? My '67 Charger's owners manual also had a sales flyer listing all the Marine engines that year. The 225 slant is 2 barrel equiped and rated at 155hp. A 4 cylinder (Volvo?) was the smallest automotive type motor shown, the flat head six was still being used! and the top dog motor was a Race Hemi, 12.5 compression, 2-4 barrel Holleys, I think it was rated at 525hp!
