| Post subject: | Headlight Switch Question |
My headlight switch is giving me problems. When I pull the rod out to turn on the headlights it will only turn on the headlights if I pull it really hard and even then any slight movement and the lights will turn off. I suspect something is not making contact inside the body of the switch. The yellow/orange lights come on and have no problems. I've gotten the switch out of the car and can't see a way to open it up. Does anyone have any tips or instructions to fix this issue? Or do I need to purchase a new switch or rod? Let me know if you need more details or if you know where I can buy a new switch / rod. I have 2 days until I have to drive at night so any help would be much appreciated! Thanks ahead of time! |

New switches are inexpensive, and often available at the local parts stores. Standard Products DS165T Airtex/Wells 1S1451 If not, try some electronic cleaner spray. |
