Hi everyone,
First time poster, long time lurker. I've owned 5 slants mostly in A bodies but this latest one is gonna be different. I've got a '72 225 w/904 out of a dart we are putting in a...we're putting it in a.... Gulp, a 1929 Chevrolet . Well it was a '29 chev body at one time, it's chopped ,channelled and shortened on a homemade 2x4 frame done with a nod towards the early sixties. Been working on for about 6 months with help from friend and fellow stray bombs car club member Shaun ( more like I'm his helper) but enough about that let's talk about the motor! It has a custom valve cover and we'll be making some traditional hot rod style 3 into 1 headers but i think the centrepiece of the mill will be the Australian lynx intake with twin HS6 SU carbs. A rare piece in Canada. I'll post some pics when I figure that out..

5 months ago we began with a bunch of 1929 chev body parts and tacked them together eliminating the front doors. then we started on the frame ( '33? ford front crossmember) and mocked in the '72 dart motor. my son schooled me on photobucket and copy paste ect. so heres the first little batch subject for your approval.....

Yes you never can be too careful haha. Actually my buddy owns a fire protection company. Actually while chopping the top there was still some wood in one of the doors, no flames but lots of smoke. Smelled really good!

That is what most of the State of Maine smells like during the heating season.

For your viewing pleasure, a couple of "Stray Bombs" formally on side of Rt. 1 Camden, Maine:

Putting a Slant plant in a vintage Chevy is priceless.

I have a question for you all, a friend has a rebuilt 12 volt generator that I think would look killer on this early style rod...anybody running one still? I was going to mount the alternator down where the power steering was but this generator idea?
