anyone ever use this stuff? the polish that comes with a little buffing wheel for getting fine haze off of glass... my windshield is hazy (hard to see out of at night with oncoming headlights...) ... maybe i should look into a replacement windshield.. this one also has the 'white fog edges' happening... ![]() |

A new windshield is the way to go. I have a glass buffing kit and it works pretty good for a light rub marks and scratches. (like a light wiper mark) To buff-out a whole windshield would take a bunch of man hours and the deeper scratches and pits would not come-out,... and you can't do anything with the corner "fogging". Thanks Doc, ....I noticed Eastwood has the kit for $35 bucks, I guess I have to just figure out if I want to put in some time to polish it or spend money on a gasket and windshield and installation fee... (i don't like doing installs.. ![]() ![]() |

Hey, Well the polish is really not that hard (lots of elbow grease) and alot of hours. (trust me i polish cars and glass for a living (i am an autobody tech) as well i am now apprentising in auto-mechanics. In the long run it is well worth it to buy that new window than to polish it. however if your up to a day of rubbing then its all good (and probably a re-polish 1 time a year), you may be able to use a small electric polisher on the window that would give a better finish and be faster. but if you screw up ![]() Justin |

So, today I polished the windshield with an Eastwood kit that has been in my dad's shop for about 10 years... I spent 4 hours with the drill, sitting on the hood, and really getting some sore forearms (eat your heart out dave draper!) Now that I could see out the darn thing, i bought myself a gift... some LIGHTED WHITE FUZZY DICE!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
