I have a 76 D100 HD clutch. I know opinions and personal experience are wide on this subject, in addition to possible limited product availability. What are some good clutch brands out there? Thanks.

I guess we should ask which clutch...

If it's an A-833OD slant truck then it's a10" clutch (which was HD compared to the 9 1/4" clutch supposedly)...the NP435 and 11' clutch is the real HD setup.

Either way, over the counter on a stock (and slightly warmed up) slants with LUK brand clutch kits, I ran a ZOOM clutch for a bit, but it withered after 2 years (and a few drag races)...they are both organic disc material like the stocker but worked well. (make sure to have your flywheel resurfaced before installing the new clutch)...if you are on the "cheap", you can also just keep your current clutch cover if it's in good shape and order just the clutch disk from RockAuto for a lot less (not for drag racing or heavy high rev clutch dumps), make sure to clean off the clutch cover surface with some brake clean and shop paper towels...make sure to have the flywheel cleaned and resurfaces before installing.
