Post subject:  Steering shaft bearing for '62 Valiant?

I've had no luck whatsoever trying to source a new roller bearing for the steering shaft of my '62 Valiant. The '62 Val has only one steering shaft bearing in the steering column, and it is up near the top, under the turn signal switch. I have not been able to find the Chrysler part number for this bearing. It has an OD of 1-3/16" (1.1875"), an ID of 3/4" and it is 1/4" thick.

It seems like it would be a common small bearing, but I can't seem to find one. Frank Mitchell say she has one for $50, but I just don't know about that guy. Can anybody help me find this part? Thanks a lot!

Are there any close metric bearings?

With this application, you can always use shims to make something close work.....
