Its been 6000 miles and its time for some new spark plugs. Can anyone recommend good plugs for a 225 with 8.5 compression and an ignitor II kit.I Have the champion platinum's now and those bosch Platinum+4's look pretty good.

Do you mean that you've gone 6k miles on the plugs and they need to be replaced? If so what happened?

The only spark plugs that are worth a darn any more are Japanese. This means NGK or Denso. Most old cars don't leave the plugs in place long enough to take advantage of platinum or iridium plugs. The multi-electrode stuff is a gimick.

I know I can go considerably longer between changes but I run a little rich from being in colorado. So when I pull them they are black. I usally clean them up at 3000.

Fix your carburetor and your engine will last much longer and not just the spark plugs. If it's rich enough to turn the plugs black in 3k miles it's also washing the oil off the cylinder walls and contaminating the oil with soot.
