Hey guys,
I read before on this forum that phenolic resin was the way to go on a carb heat shield. So, I bought a sheet of phenolic resin (grade L) and cut it for a shield. Take a look and let me know what you think. I've cut notches in the side for throttle clearance. It's a bit wide at the moment (hits the choke housing), but nothing a circular saw can't fix. I'm sanding the throttle plate area to match a gasket I have.
Let me know if this won't work out for any reason. I'll have 4 extras for sale if all turns out well.

Thanks,

Looks good. Make sure you take precautions and wear a good dust mask. The dust from the resin is toxic if breathed.
