Haven't disassembled my front brakes, but went to my FLAPS to buy shoes, and they brought out some giant things which were for a 10"x2.5" drum. That can't be right? how big should they be? They said the only other size was 9"x2.5"... should they really be 2.5 inches wide? I could tear it down, and measure, but then I have to walk to the parts store. It is not close to me.

Front brakes done! Car stops much better with actual lining material on the shoes! Decided to check the backs, even though they were not making racket. The lining was nearly new, but primary and secondary shoes were reversed. I switched everything around so should be good now.
Do the self adjusters work with forward stops, or do you need to do reverse stops to actuate them, like some other cars I've owned?
Any input appreciated, Kelly
