The chrome lock strips on my 62 Valiant are in very poor shape and need replacing. There comes the problem. I can't find a source for this part. Can anyone offer suggestions. By the way, the old one measures 9/16 X 1/4 inch on cross section. I realize that I might need to use a lock strip that was made for another application but would fit the Valiant.

I believe that the lock strip for a Chevy truck, maybe 80's or so works. Somebody else might know the exact details.
