Long ago in a galaxy far away ( well 1977) I worked at a Chrysler dealer. At that time we use " mopar heat control valve solvent" to keep the HR working.
So its 2014, I'm sure its no longer around. So what is a good replacement ? I think the mopar stuff had graphite in it. There must be something that works well ?????????????

You might try lock lube with graphite in it.
