You will need to call Isky and see if they have any specs on file... Just poking around there are some references to the 505 Magnums... One cached reference to the 505-A profile puked this raw data off the web: ISKY - Grind No./Type 505-A SOLIDBracket racing. Rough idle. 3000 stall. 4.11-4.56 axle ratio. Up to 850 CFM Carb. 10.51 compr.RPM-Range 3500-7000Valve Lift - INT .507 EXT .507Valve Lash Hot - INT .028 Would bet the 112 is the LSA for the cam. The 505 seems to have a wide range of grinds not limited to some roller cams on cast blanks for ford or flat head applications... |

I pulled this one out of a slant today. Custom oil pan, dry sump system, damn near every nut and bolt drilled for safety wire, Isky cam, aluminum "pop up" pistons, fully ported, big valve race head, 8" VW race clutch (engine was in a Porsche road course car back in the late 60's), tripple Weber 45 carbs, Joe Hunt magneto, adapter plate for a Porsche trans, bunch of custom made one off parts and I haven't even had a chance to get into the Hilborn injected motor yet. This thing is crazy! Thanks for the help. I will be posting pics and info in a new thread in a few days. There is also some info and less detailed pics in the racing section in the "racing question for doc" thread. |

As I remember Isky hard faced cams required a different type of solid lifter, maybe chilled iron? If you are going to reuse the cam make sure the lifters are compatible. |
