I just bought a (rebuilding transmission kit) for my 1987 Dodge Ram pu, 3.7 liter engine, 4 speed manual transmission, slant6; I was told that I did`nt need any special tools to rebuild? Now, I can neither take it apart, or know what to do about the [snap rings], or to remove the bearings? Any help will help!!! |

http://www.slantsix.org/articles/4-spee ... speed1.htm That has an article or two on rebuilding it, and yes you need snap ring pliers and access to a press for installing the bearings will make life easier. |
