Has anyone setup a Weber 32/36 for a blow through set up? An how can it be done? |

The 32/36 is fine for a stock engine, but that's it. 1600cc VW Rabbit racers want more flow than the 32/36. You can't get enough fuel through the needle and seat assembly to support a boosted engine. The air speed through the carb will get so high that the internal passages won't flow enough fuel even if you do make a needle and seat that will keep the float bowl full. Maybe with a pair of Weber 32/36 carbs you could get close, but a single 4bbl is going to be easier. |

Ford pinto owners use them a lot for turbo and the 38/38 has blow through parts available online. Unfortunately no one I've seen has documented what they did with the weber to convert. There's also a couple companies that sell a modified new weber to be used for turbo on older Mitsubishi trucks. In other words it can be done but I can't point you to anyone that explains how. Also most of them are mounted to 2 litre motors or smaller. |
