Post subject:  Holley 1920 kit and float replacement issues

So here is my Holley 1920 dilemma. We’ve got a 1969 255 Slant Six with a Holley 1920 carb. Flooding issues with fuel seeping. I went to order a rebuild kit. Did not know there would be so many different options. My 1920 has 2 different numbers stamped on the front of carb just above and to left of float cover. . . . 3121 and just below that 6156. I have seen blogs where people say that the number on top is the carb #. On every single site for kits that I went to, I would try to search using the top number and nothing would come up. I did get a hit using the bottom number (6156) on a site called Mikes carbs.www.carburetor-parts.com . They seemed to have a good following. I ordered the kit that came up for this number ( part # K4093). Obviously the kits do not come with floats. And I am not sure if my float is bad or not. From what I gather there are two different float weights for the 1920 . . . 7.5 grams and 12.5 grams. My float weighs 12ish grams. This could mean it is a correct 12.5 gram float OR a 7.5 gram float that has absorbed too much crap. Problem is My float is stamped Holley 362 39. Apparently this number comes up both weights.

Does anyone have Any input ? or good resources for 1920s
