My 69 dart is a daily driver, she starts fine and drives well but when I shift from park or neutral in to R or D the RPMs drop and the engine will stall unless I feather the throttle.

When I am driving the engine will stall every time if I brake suddenly, but if I slowly come to a stop the engine will idle fine at a stop light / fast food window.

I've checked the idle settings and I just cannot figure out why my 225 is dieing on me

Where do you live?

Maybe simple like condensation/water in the fuel sloshing around in the bottom of the float bowl.

Get some "Heet" yellow bottle and put some down the fuel bowl vent so it mixes with the fuel in the bowl and put the rest in the tank. Had that happen twice this winter!
