Post subject:  Engine will start, but conditions will cause it to stall

My 69 dart is a daily driver, she starts fine and drives well but when I shift from park or neutral in to R or D the RPMs drop and the engine will stall unless I feather the throttle.

When I am driving the engine will stall every time if I brake suddenly, but if I slowly come to a stop the engine will idle fine at a stop light / fast food window.

I've checked the idle settings and I just cannot figure out why my 225 is dieing on me

Where do you live?

Maybe simple like condensation/water in the fuel sloshing around in the bottom of the float bowl.

Get some "Heet" yellow bottle and put some down the fuel bowl vent so it mixes with the fuel in the bowl and put the rest in the tank. Had that happen twice this winter!

cool I will try the yellow bottle. The car has been a daily driver since december and it has had this problem since I got the car, I finally decided to try and drive it using only one foot at stoplights lol.

I am in the bay area of california
