Post subject:  remote control drivers mirror?

OK
wanted a non remote but got a good deal on a manual remote. have it mounted in door but there is NO hole in door for the remote mount to go.
I can see cutting a hole in the door panel but where in steel door ?
pictures anyone.

If it's in a wing window car (1967-1972), the hole for the toggle is in the metal above the door card and just slightly forward of the post for the wing window...A 3/4" unibit should provide the right hole for mounting, hopefully you didn't lose the sheetmetal grommet the holds the backside against the door.

You will need to leave a flat spot so the remote dosent spin.Does your remote have a flat side?
