it also depends on if it's a car or a truck.some continues have emissions others not.. if they do have emissions in your county it will have to pass a visual.. that meaans tht if it cme with egr ANd charcoal canisters etc.. then they need to be there. their functionality could be questionable. I live in a county with emissions.. how wowed out cats and egr valves with a plate or gasket in between the manifold and rh valve have passed for me. to find out if you have emiss. in your county go to any state inspection garage etc.. and ask if the emissions are required. I maybe all wet, but I recall non California spec. (49 state) light truck pollution controls lagged passenger vehicle standards by one or more years in mid seventies. I would think there should be a PCV diagram, and charcoal canister pluming decal under hood of your truck when it left the factory, and in FSM; both devices which were integrated into cars by late sixties. Maybe some sheet metal was replaced, and or repainted at some point leaving off or covering any factory decals, or those markings were not mandated for trucks. |

No.. None of that stuff on 75 trucks / vans... They didn't get any of that until 78-9 My 77 truck has no egr .. no cat... no Vapor can at all.. It was like that from the factory. It will have a Breather that vents to the Air filter and a PCV system.. but that's all. |
