I've been battling against my dizzy for several months now, and after an hour or so of fiddling with it today, I noticed that my brand new cap had a big cracked chunk taken out of the ignition coil button.

There wasn't anything visibly wrong with the old cap, but there has been a lot of adjusting done with the points and timing in general since I changed to the new one.

So... what cracked this thing??
