I searched a few different ways. Came up empty. (Just finally picked up a used stand. I was going to upgrade some hardware on it. While at it, figured I'd get everything to mount the engine to it too.) Thanks in advance. |

You use the bell housing or auto trans mount bolts. Just find the ones that fit the back of the engine. There are several different sizes depending upon location. You will want to put healthy washers between the heads of the bolts and the engine stand arms. I think there are some 3/8ths and some 5/16ths ones there. I will not swear to that though. Just use the ones that fit. Sam |

Just to be on the safe side, I usually use Grade 8 bolts, not the cheap stuff. |

Thanks for the replies. I was going to replace a lot of what is installed on the stand w/Grade 8, then also get bolts for mounting engine. I guess I'll just get 4/ea of 5/16 & 3/8" coarse @ 2", plus thick large diameter washers to match. Hardware stores around here suck, so I was going to do McMaster or Fastenal. (I don't trust the local stuff labeled "Grade 8" to be anything more than Chinese garbage.) To that end, I wanted to order all at once. Thanks again. |

I have used the Grade 8 bolts from Home Depot and haven't had any problems. |

Mounted mine using standard grade 5s. Just make sure they are long enough to get a good bite into the threads in the back of the block, and as mentioned above, be careful rotating that big-ol slant. Especially with the head on, she is a very top heavy engine that will pull your arm out of socket if your not paying enough attention. |
