I am swapping out my Volare 7.25 for a Cordoba 8.25. My Volare axle has these bizarre rubber mounted plates top and bottom, but the Cordoba Axle just has standard perches. I would like to swap out the rubber crap for straight up plates with shock mounts and some slapper bars. Which plates would fit this? Does it just have to be from a 8.25 axle or will other axle plates work? Does anyone have a pair they would part with for a fellow "sixer"?

I rather like the rubber isolators found on the F/M/J body cars. They make for a much softer ride.

If you are ditching the rubber isolator system, then you will need to go with a complte old-style mount system and use the plates for the 8.25 rear axle. Or ytou could find the hardware from a F/M/J body car that was built with an 8 1/4 and keep the rubber isolators.
