Hey guys fairly easy question is there a recomended torque specs to bolt down a carb i have a 2280..Reason being every time i uninstall the carb and i see the mounting gasket i can see the vacuum crevices stamped into the gasket..so i might be over torquing?

It is possible to over torque , but seeing the imprint of the carb base details is normal. I run the stud nuts down firmly with hand tools, recheck after a few heat cycles. The better carb base gaskets have compression limiters in the mounting holes, on those you can't over squeeze the gaskets.
