Post subject:  904 speedo output threads?

About at the point on the T-bucket to order gauges. Want to go with an electronic speedo and pulse generator at the trans.
Speedway offers generators for Ford and GM trans. As I recall, the 904 uses the same thread size and pitch as GM, but my memory has failed me before.
Can anyone confirm this for me?

Thanks.....Roger

I used an Autometer 5291 on my car and it was mopar/GM, fit perfectly...if going junkyard I think the mid-90's dakotas had a pulse generator like this as well for their speedos.

What year is the 904?
Early units (cable type) have a small speedo gear opening.

Thanks, but all I have are linkage trannys. Still good info for those with earlier cars, though.

HMMMMM! I still have a dead '95 Dak out in the driveway I haven't towed away, yet. I just might have to check that out.

Anybody know if the generator signals the speedo, or the ECU, which then drives the speedo? Wait!...I have a Haynes manual out in the garage....I'll check it out myself.

Thanks much for the guidance, DI.

Keep present speedo pinion and adaptor unchanged. Buy GM p/n 25526374 for about $25 from gmpartsgiant.com; installs in line with speedo cable.
