Thanks Sandy! I bought this car last week. runs and drives great. Everything rebuilt or replaced. The only problem is the builder is 77 years old and built so many cars he cant remember parts etc.

Both items are typical mopar EI...

Standard Motor Brand used to be the best, but not everything is still tip top quality. For Replacements just ask for a Ballast Resistor for a 1972 Duster with the 225 , and the EI module just ask for a 1976 Duster.

Mopar Orange Box and knock offs are chinese junk now, if you aren't a purist, you can remove both and rewire the system to use a GM HEI module and they are more common over the counter no matter where you drive to...

Thanks I was sort of right on module. Might look in to hei at a later date. Too late to be a purist. The whole engine / car was modified.

Hum all ballasts i look up for a 72 duster with slant 6 show 4 connectors in stead of 2 like mine. Or is there an optional 2 post one?

I think you got your answer, but in case someone's still searching, try looking at stuff a year or two older. The 2-post version was used in cars without Electronic Ignition. 1972 was the transition year-- some cars with Electronic Ignition, some without.
