I finally got HB installed on my 1974 engine. When pressing it on, do I just keep pressing until it bottoms out against shoulder on crank ? Or do I press it on to a certain "depth" to ensure correct belt alignment with water pump? It's on - but it looks a ~little~ too close to the timing chain cover. Or have I just been looking at this too long and am going nuts? LOL Thanks !

It goes on until it bottoms out against the crank gear. Make sure you put some oil on the OD of it where the seal contacts it. You don't want it to start up dry.
