Post subject:  Need help with w150 miser

Hey guys thanks for the add I'd as a picture but my iPhone won't let me :(..I got me 85w150 miser with a old six and I've been beating on it a good bit and she holds up great but here lately it's been missing on I believe to be all cylinders the compression is good I have deleted the egr It has about 7 foot of 2 3/4 exhaust I have put new wires the distributor with a vacuum adv the one on it didn't have one and the pick up was rusted and the gear was coming apart so I though found it but no but a new coil new Ngk plugs new fuel pump got a mechanical carb and I still Dnt get why she missing and it kinda sounds like a lol I'm check the time air fuel ratio I change the altanator elec regulator cuz the old one melted the ol six is strong sept when it misses I thought Intake leak cuz it d miss hard when it was cold but got better when warm but been all over it my antifreeze is good just put new 165 thermostat n it and I'm just lost for words would the altanotor putting out to high of voltage do this? That's my next step

Hello and welcome. Not to be a prude, but punctuation helps us help you.

It sounds like the lean burn system on your truck has been partially disabled and is not working right. Does your truck have a lean burn computer?

I'm a lil dyslectic, and when I got my truck it might have on but it did not have the computer on the air filter but it has a wat looks like a computer in the drivers fender, wen I got the truck it wouldn't run the carb was leaky letting my dad use he let it idle at a friends house and it caught fire, we put it out and I got a mechanical carb and fuel pump had sum bs elec in line pump and here rencently I put a vacuum advance dist, reason why I ask alt is cuz my light flicker going from very bright to very dim wen I'm driveing at night, I already changed the regulator no help

Sorry it wouldn't run cuz it wasn't getting any fuel so I dropped tank and the sending unit hose was half way out fixed tht and it ran real crappy and then while I was letting me dad use it, it caught fire burnt all the vacuum lines I got a rebuilt Holley 1920 1bbl and a mechanical fuel pump and it ran again after I capped everything ran great actually so I put sum Ngk v power and 8mm accel wires and accel cap and rotor msd blaster 2 coils and it ran like a sewing machine and noticed my lights n the dash were acting wierd flickering and so I do a voltage test at work and my alt. is putting out over 16 volts change regulator was good but then started missing sence it's started missing I put the new dist in wit vacuum adv have more power n better gas but still faint miss put a egr block off plate on and it now only misses when at idle and wen n 4th doing 55 60 mph but when u floor it Dnt miss at all when it's warm there's almost no miss but u can still feel it
