The early choke (even if the one you found were in good shape, which it isn't) won't work well with the late exhaust manifold. Either get the correct original-type choke for the exhaust manifold and carburetor you're using (in your case, you'd need a relatively scarce 1973-only item, either the truck type without heater or the car type with heater plus the associated choke control module) or save yourself a bunch of fiddling around and nonworking, and get a #1231 Electric choke kit instead. |

Ill assume it wont work well cause the late exhaust manifold has the open side. Thanks, makes sense
