On my 1964 wiring diagram, yes there's an 18-ga black wire from fusebox to radio. Orange is 18-ga positive for instrument lamps. Strangely, they forgot to indicate a ground in the diagram, so it looks like the radio is "hanging in midair from a single wire". MY radio only has a black wire and speaker wires, IS THE BLACK WIRE THE POSITIVE IN THIS SITUATION? and the chassis is to be grounded?
