I am having a lack of power when I get to speeds around 60mph. I am not sure if its some blockage or not. I have a new fuel pump and it worked great for about a week now I can't get over a mile out of town. I am not sure should I take it back to the place who put the fuel pump on and demand a new one? Could it be something else? It seems to run fine until its under a load.

Its possible your old pump was not putting out sufficent fuel, and now the new pump makes it go rich? Check your float level. |

It would have to be stinking rich to lose power at 60 mph, I would vote for losing fuel flow volume due to restrictions between pump and sock in tank caused by a dirty tank. When car loses power do is pop through carburetor, and or get a big flat spot when accelerator is depressed at speed, or when climbing a hill? |
