i have 2 complete clusters. I have some sort of problem with my fuel gauges. One does nothing, the other pegs past full. It appears that my temp is not working with either fuel gauge. I have tried each fuel gauge in each cluster. There doesn't seem to be a difference. I haven't tried swapping temps in each cluster. My cluster does not have the alternator hooked up. There is a ground from the alternator side to the steel dash behind the cluster. Is this extra? Or is it normal for the alternator? With the clusters screwed tightly to the dash, to complete the ground, I still have issues. Dash lights are working, turn signals, high beam indicator. I know I have to find the alternator power lead, just wondering about the others.

Could be... the size and colors look about right.

Does the fuel gauge connect with the 2 nuts just below and left of the cluster connector?
