Post subject:  Z-bar sliding laterally when shifting Where to get bushings?

I've got a 1982 Dodge W150 Powerwagon with the slant six 4 speed (with granny) tranny - anyway - my guess is the plastic bushings are shot as the z-bar linkage slides about 3/4 of an inch towards the bellhousing when shifting. Anybody got a good source for replacement parts like this? Really don't want to deal with the local dealer who views request like this as if asking for a radioactive strontium pellet for my spaceship. Oh, I see a spring clip shown in the exploded diagram but not sure if it's an external or internal part. If external - I don't see it.

This kit from Brewers...if it's sliding the bail wire is not holding the bushing in place. Also check to make sure your brackets/ballstuds are tight.

Post subject:  Manual Transmission Stuff...

There are really only two reliable places to get rebuild stuff for 4 speed stuff and linkage kits:

Brewers Performance

and

Passon Performance

FYI.

If you are talking about the long zig-zag shaped wire clip along the length of the Z-bar, that is an external part. If you don't see it, you ain't got it!

What wire clip? ;-) Guess that answers that question . . . THANKS!
Bet it holds the bushings to keep them from sliding, right?

Yes...
The wire clip passes thru 2 small holes in the z-bar and locks into a groove in the bushings.
