I'm restoring a 1964 Dart with 904 push button transmission and a 225 Slant Six engine. We went with the Clifford Performance upgrades with dual outlet headers, intake manifold and a Weber 2 brl carb.

The problem I'm having is that I'm now being told that I can't use the push button transmission with this set up. Does any know if this is true? Or if there is some way to make this set up work? I'm basically being told I need to get another 904 from the post push button era and put a shifter in the car.

Any advice will help.

Thanks.

Any explanation as to why the pushbutton 904 "won't work"? Who's telling you this? I mean the only thing that comes to mind (& this is a stretch) is that the shift/park operating cables might not clear a "dual" exhaust installation.

I'm thinking you need to come up with a different kick-down linkage for the tranny.

I have 73' challenger(E body) with a 1963 (413) installed in it. I'm converting the push button transmit ion to a four speed with I already bought. The car has a clutch peddle in it. I need to know what size flywheel , and bell housing will fit the 413..
I bought a 11" flywheel, but was told it may not fit the bell housing.
Also, where can I find the bell housing? I'm very green on this area, and could use some help. Love mopar and this car, just can't move forward.
