It's a 225 must be a cast crank block appears to be made the 30th week of 1985.

The 1st photo is too far right to catch the full engine casting number, unless someone can tell it from the '030' which should be the last 3 digits of a 7 digit number.

It is a later block due to the core plugs arrangement in the 1st photo. (Dunno what year that changed; someone here certainly does.)

Is that "K" really an "R"?

Sounds like you have a 1976 model year engine?

there are no numbers on the deck lip near the plugs where there should be-
the engine was also rebuilt perhaps the numbers on the deck lip were ground away? if so, is it possible to know year manufactured some other way?
thanks again
