So, '63 valiant 2 door. 170/6. Single speed wiper switch. There is one tab on the back of my single speed wiper switch that is open. And there is one yellow wire with the female end that is going knowhere. My blower switch has no power going to it. Are these related? Where does my blower switch get its power from? Fuses are all good. wiper switch works as it should. I havent hooked it up even though it seems obvious that is where the wire is supposed to go. I dont want to mess anything up. Im being paranoid i guess. Any insight to why i have no power at the blower motor switch would be great. As well as the stray wire and empty male end on back of wiper switch. Thanks in advance

The loose wire could be for the windshield washer pump.

If the heater blower is wired anything like the 65 Dart, there is a green wire that's connected to the auxillary terminal in the fuse box - on the 65 it is the middle one in the row of 5

Yellow wire goes from the switch to the motor for varible speed wipers and is not used for single speed wipers.

Check the heater fuse and see if it's blown it should have a 20 amp fuse. if it is not blown check for power on both sides of it.

You are not being paranoid. I burned the wiring harness on my BMW by putting the wrong relay in a circuit. It is costing me much time and money to fix it. Caution is wise when dealing with electrical. There is enormous energy stored in that battery.
