Hey Guys so i am getting a chance to revise my head since i suspect there is some recession on the valve seats (did not put in hardened seats) so i want to take this chance to check if my engine builder in-fact put over-sized valves. So i have 1970 Slant 6 (225CI) what are the stock valves sizes(just incase he dide not change them) and what oversize valves should i get. i have a super six set up and a mild cam. not much lift if i remember its like .435

Stock is about 1.62 Intake, common oversize is 1.70....which should be fine if: you are going to bump up your compression, are not going to go to a 4 barrel, running the slightly bigger than stock cam, and you do some mild port work in the runners to make best use of the increase in valve size (techincally, I've gotten good results just porting the head with stock valves sizes for mild street builds because the ports just need to be opened more....)

Sounds like a Ford thing, 20 over 4 on the bore and a 4 on the stroke...must be a Cleveland thing....Probably would help using OS valves too on that...
