Mine is crusted in 26 year old undercoating. If it has markings, there is no way i'll ever see them.

What spec should it be?

It may be there, but not recognizable. Dig around on the top in the crust; especially look for what seems to be a taller than normal 'bolt-like' thing holding the brake line splitter on top of the axle. That is the vent; it is a hollow bolt that holds the splitter in place and that has a loose 'lid' on it.

I know where the hose is, I'm saying that any markings, if any (i.e. an SAE#), are covered in undercoat.

I never changed one before, and I have no idea what type hose to use.

PVC will also work, IIRC.
