| Post subject: | What Choke to Use |
Good Day, I have a super 6 intake with a carter bbd and the choke linkage will no way line up with part that bolts into the intake ( for the life of me I cant think of what thats called). What is used to choke these. Is the carb the wrong one for the intake? Im almost resorting to running a solid piece of wire from the carb to inside the car kind of like a manual choke . Thanks for any help. Dean |

Dizzydean: Good morning. You give very little info about your setup. For your problem description, my assumption is that you have a 318 carb instead of the original supersix carb. I learned from this forum that the supersix uses an slightly modified version of the same BBD carburetor used in the v8-318. Some of the modifications are in the linkage; the 318 carb linkage is not compatible with the SuperSix, but can be modified.
