63-74 heads are around 68 lbs fully dressed. 75-79 heads are more like 76 lbs. 80-87 heads are about 70 lbs. These all vary by at least +/-2 lbs due to casting/year differences.

i just weighed an early head (with the little dime sized lump in each chamber) and got 74.5 pounds

this is stock, used with some light carbon and grease, and includes manifold studs, rockers, shafts, valves, springs, spark plugs less 1, drool tubes less 1, and no gaskets, no valve cover

NEVjr,

Is that a 63-down head? I am surprised it is that heavy. Does it have the rocker shaft/gear on it?

This head is off a 64 slant complete from rocker cover to cast iron thermostat housing. 71 pounds give or take a pound or two for the old age of the scales.

OK, that makes sense. I was quoting weights with no rockers/shaft/bolts. That adds about 6 lbs. Very sorry I missed that in your earlier post.
