Post subject: | 220,000 lb Arp head studs |
I am finally getting my turbo'd slant project back on track. Tom, Ryan and a few others special ordered some 220,000 lb Arp head studs a few years back to eliminate stretched head studs with 30lbs of boost. I will be doing the same unless someone still has a set to sell. Is anyone interested in getting a group order together? |

It has been about 5 years but I think each set cost around $185/set with a minimum of 5 sets. I torqued mine to 92ft/lbs. Tom |

They are $99 here --> http://www.northernautoparts.com/part/ar-142-4001 These are the 200,000 psi studs. Not the 220,000 psi studs. |

The 200,000 lb stock studs are actually 190,000 lb. I finally got ahold of someone at ARP to get us a price. They will get back to me a a couple of days with a price on 5, 10, 15 sets of studs. The material that is the 220,000 lb is their proprietary material they call ARP 2000. It can be torqued to 95 ft lbs max. Tom was very close at 92 ft lbs. |

I just did some simple algebra to come up with the number. At the time, they did not have a recommendation. Who are you dealing with at ARP? |

No news yet. I have been dealing with Alex and getting the run around. I will try again today. They must be so busy that they're not be interested in custom orders. He never return calls and if by chance you get ahold of him he says the estimator still has it. |
