Hey guys question for the gurus I got a set of Clifford shortys for my 68 valiant 2 door the only thing is I started looking at what I gotta do and on the bottom of intake manifold there's a heat riser what do I do to plug the hole or replace heatriser when headers are in place do I need a heat riser if I have a manual choke or or should I cover hole? And how ? Please help?!!!!sorry forgot to say using original intake and carb

There is not a hole in the intake. There is a hole in the exhaust manifold, but you are replacing that.

My bad, now I understand. If you are not worried about keeping the EGR can you tap the hole and put a plug it.

I'm putting dual ehaust the Clifford shortys under intake manifold there's a heat riser which my throttle linkage hooks to is there an opening under intake that I need to plug and were doses my linkage go no place on headers

If you look under the intake there is one hole twords the EGR vacuum pot. Drill/ tap it and put a bolt in it. Or put a cover plate over the whole under side. You can make a cover plate for the EGR as well and keep your linkage.

You are asking about tge choke thermostat. There will be no place for it. I always just wired the choke wide open and lived with it. If your carb is pretty well jetted it's not that bad to get it running cold.
