I am getting ready to put the headlights in my race truck and want to get new adjuster screws / plastic inserts. The problem I am having is that the last 3 or 4 sets I put in (Dorman brand) have been total junk. The ears break off very easily and they do not snap into place well. Has anyone found any that work Ok? Should I go to the dealer to get them. I read on Advance Auto and everyone seems to be having the same problem with them.

If everyone is having problems with dorman plastics

I suggest Welding in a nut to the headlight bucket that will accept the thread size and pitch of the adjuster screw.

Or maybe the junk yard.. but I imagine those would crack and shatter when you try to pull them out.
