Sounds like your "Heater Core" has gone bad. You can loop the inlet to the outlet on the water pump while you replace the heater core.(if you need to drive it) |

You can disconnect the heater hoses at the firewall and plug them into each other under the hood and that will eliminate the coolant/leak from under the dash. Of course, your heater will not work until you pull the Ht/AC unit from under the dash and replace the heater core. Lou |

To The heater core... just the same. A/C has freon flowing through a separate set of lines, while heat uses engine antifreeze to warm the cabin. Having A/C is a nice feature and make a car more valuable (and enjoyable to drive in warm weather). Just bypass as suggested, and you've got all summer to think about if you want to keep the A/C before winter comes and you'll need heat. |

Heater core is not expensive to replace with your labor. You will need heat for defrost once weather turns in the fall when fog & due become troublesome at night. Detroit Muscle has a heater box rebuild kit available which will make the box function as new. |
