Post subject: | 13" rallye wheels for the 67 Dart?? |
I could use some advise with this question I just bought a 67 Dart GT convertible and it has the standard 13" steel wheels with full hubcaps. I would like to install the rallye wheels that you see on the later 68 or 69 darts and dusters. I would like to stay with the 13" wheels if possible, but did they ever make these? Maybe on a barracuda or ?? If not and I have to do the 14" conversion, what do I have to go through to keep the speedometer correct. Is this just a gear or major parts? Thanks for your time with this. Matt Guesto (225 slant Six) |

Matt, 13" rallyes do not exist, but you are better off with 14s anyway - better handling and braking. You can either just use tires with the same outside diameter as your 13s (like some 225/60-14s or 195/70-14s), or you can get a different speedo gear - easy to get and change. Any restoration or performance Mopar shop can get gears for you for about $15 (like www.manciniracing.com or www.kollerdodgeparts.com). Welcome to the site! Lou |

The only 13 wheels i'm familar with are some cragers that were factory to a re-bagged 65 dart (charger package all with 273s) extremly rare is being mild to describe these wheels. Agree with 270 get some 14s. |
