Have been running dist water and 2 bottles of water wetter in my 62 Valiant with a aluminum block for several years,Want to change out to what is best for the car and Evans looks about the best from what I have read.There are several different kinds and will buy what is best with whatever combo.PLEASE Dan tell me what you think is the best.Others free to chime in but Dan has personal knowledge with these engines.Thanks Mark |

I have an aluminum radiator, I use Evans all is fine. I have a 4 pound cap just to cover the hole, there is no pressure buildup. It also helped reduce pinging under load, great stuff. It is propylene glycol with some ethylene glycol. Boils at 375 F, so no need for a pressure cap, but the lowest I could find was a 4 pound cap. If you can't get all the water out of your system, the 4 pound cap is good, as it'll vent over time and the residual water will eventually leave the system. I used air to blow the water out of the system for awhile, but not a super long time, just got most of it out. brian |

The best part is, there is no stress on the system, you'll never have to worry about blowing a hose or a major leak, unless you cut a hose somehow... |

Don't let the tech's catch you with glycol in the system. It's not at all popular with clean-up crews, and banned from fast cars at some strips. |

This is for my STOCK ALUMINUM BLOCK car.No issues with heating,just want to know the best way to keep corrosion down in the engine. |

Ack, no es bueno! That's an efficient way to ruin an aluminum block. Without corrosion inhibitors (which Water Wetter does not have) electrochemical corrosion will aggressively attack the aluminum.  Quote: Want to change out to what is best for the car and Evans looks about the best
Yes. The one you want is their "High Performance" coolant, gallon or 4-gallon case.

THANK YOU DAN,,,,,,stupid question how much does the aluminum block cars hold with everything stock?Is the capacity different than a Iron block?I cant seem to find the specs and do you run the Evans straight?Again THANK YOU. I found that the iron block cars hold 13 quarts,hoping 3 gal will work in the alum block.Mark |

Aluminum block coolant capacity is somewhat less than iron block capacity. I think it's 4 quarts less, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Yes, run the Evans coolant straight; do not dilute it. Get as much water out of the system as possible -- drain the radiator and the block, blow air through the heater core, etc. |
