Well do you want to buy a kit or swap an axle? There are plenty of kits out there but they do cost some. Depending on the type of axle you have it might be cheaper to swap it out. |

This question has been asked many times, you'll find lots of threads using the search function. One key question is if you currently have small bolt pattern (SBP) 5 x 4" are you OK with the very limited choices of wheels, which are: factory steel, ralleye, cragar S/S and Ansen slots. If you upgrade to 5 1/2 x 4", large bolt pattern (LBP). Then wheel choices are greatly expanded, several hundred or more choices. Once you've answered that question, the disk conversion choices fall into place, and still there are several out there. Many folks go with factory disk brakes from a donor car, but there are many aftermarket choices. The key there is will the setup fit 14" wheels; many aftermarket systems require moving to 15" wheels to accommodate the calipers. Again, use the search function on this site and read, read, read. You'll get the picture pretty quickly on what upgrading from SBP to LBP entails, with your particular setup. Brian |

Front or rear? I upgraded the fronts on this 63 dart with a set of Wilwood Dynalite Drag Race Front Disc Brakes. The hubs can be setup for either a 5x4 or 5x4 1/2 bolt pattern. Right now I'm using the 5x4 until I upgrade the rear end. They are high quality and easily installed. They also work with the 14" wheels I have on the car. <img src="https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfa1/v/t1.0-9/984295_953100184700299_5318347387825208097_n.jpg?oh=721d76aee751a82b8946ea716ec2556e&oe=55A6CF1B" /> Andrew |

That I don't know. But I'm in the process of changing my shocks so tell me how to check the axle and I'll do so while I'm doing the shocks. |

Look at the cover on the rear axle and find it on this chart: http://differentials.com/wp-content/upl ... -Chart.jpg Count the number of bolts holding the rear axle cover on the rear axle as well. |

It's possible (but unlikely) he has an 8.75 which pulls from the front.

True. I don't recall what vehicle he is working on (Dart? Truck?), so it is an open question as to what axle he has. Could be 7.25, 8.25, 8.75, 9.25.... |

Chances are it's an 8.25. It so and it's the 5 on 4.5, the the Jeep Grand Cherokee disc swap would be the way to go |
