Ok I crank my truck and noticed that the alt meter in my truck wasn't moving. Any. With the engine running I turned the lights on and the came on fine. Still no movement on the gauge. And I turned the engine off and the lights when off along with it. I didn't turn them off with the switch. And I got to crank again and nothing. no click anything the radio doesn't even come on. But I hooked a DMM to the battery and it reads 12.41v. And I jump the starter and it turns. Also I changed the voltage regulator earlier and it's Connector and |

You may have a bad connection between battery and amp gage. This is why the lights went off when engine stopped everything was running off of the alternator with no battery impute. Dig out an electrical diagram follow path of electrons from battery to ignition switch, than find and inspect the wiring under the hood. |

1. Bad fusible link from the starter relay to the firewall connector would be the first place to inspect. 2. Then check the wires to the ammeter and the ammeter.
