Any recommendations for a carb shop for rebuilding a Quadrajet ? I need a basic stock rebuild. I don't have time to do it myself and I'm not sure about this sorta complex carb. |

Quadrajet is incredibly simple. I used to run them on my Buicks. If I can make one work anyone can. They have the same foible as the Thermoquad, the bottoms of the main wells will leak and need to be sealed if they are not already epoxied. A quick Google turned up Mister Carburetor in Cedar Hill, TX. Not sure how close that is to you. |

I ran Qs on my mudbogger. I agree with Dennis....very simple. I bought a HP book on Q Jets . It made rebuilding and modifying pretty straight forward. Most of the complication is for the choke. |

I actually ran one on my Slant 6 and got really good mileage with it. Let's just say if you brought in those secondaries there was a very large sucking sound! |
