I have a 70's slant 6 225 Plymouth engine that had electronic ign. Everything was ruined by road salt. I am switching to point type as cheapest way to fix as selling it. I bought a Cardone Reman Dist. 30-3610 and doesn't seem to want to go in block. Am I trying to do the impossible. Also can't find cap and rotor for point type dist. thanks for any help

Cardone's parts are garbage that can't be relied on to fit or work.

Cap and rotor are the same for points vs. electronic.

Wasn't there a thread a while back about new distributor housings coming out of Chine that had the wrong shape on the bottom to seat properly against the block? I seem to recall pictures of a new distributor body that had a casting bump near the o-ring that wasn't machined down.
