Ok so I installed a Hurst Promatic Rachet Shifter http://www.summitracing.com/parts/huu-3838510/overview/ and a Turbo Action Fully manual Revered Pattern Valve Body http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tac-17156/overview/ in my tf904. First off the shifter seems a bit sloppy, it has some play and side to side action going on I'm not sure what thats all about, maybe the bushings or springs are shot which would be dumb because I just bought the thing brand new. But my biggest issue as of right now is when I shift up to the next gear (from 1-2 and 2-3) The shifts sometimes seem delayed, almost like the tranny is having to sit there and think about it for a second or two. It doesn't always happen but about 40% of the time it does, usually when I'm shifting into 2nd gear. I don't ever notice it when I'm down shifting and again it mostly only occurs when I'm going from 1st gear to 2nd gear. Maybe it still thinks its a fully automatic? LOL Anyone else have this issue? Any thoughts or suggestions? |

When shifter is moved 1-2 does the detent move through its correct ark? In other words are shifter and transmission in sink. Is amount of travel of shifter the amount of travel detent must move to be spot on. I'm not communicating this thought very well here, sorry. Lets try this again, is linkage/cable correctly dialed in and not over or under shooting so detent is part way in or out a given gear selection? |
